As busy moms can, I totally forgot to look up the Norwex website once I hung up the phone. It wasn’t until the following weekend when Katie emailed the Norwex website to me and said “Julie, you really need to check this stuff out - the products are awesome” that I pulled up the website. As I started looking at their products and how to use them my initial thoughts were “No way, this is too good to be true. Cleaning with only a cloth and water? If this is for real, why have I not known about this?”
I called Katie once again to ask her a bunch of questions. Norwex has been in Minnesota for a few years and many of Katie’s friends use the products. Anyway, I asked her if the cloths really cleaned if you only use water. Katie explained to me that the Norwex microfiber cloths are made of the highest quality microfiber you can find. It is the most innovative product in the industry, utilizing a unique silver agent. The silver agent is embedded inside the microfiber so when the cloth is used to clean surfaces, it not only removes 99.9% of the bacteria on the surface, it destroys those bacteria after only a few hours. This means cleaner cloths, less frequent laundering and reduction in cross-contamination. You clean with only the microfiber and water. It is honestly amazing.
I was so excited about the idea of cleaning with something that is 100% chemical free that I suddenly wanted to order a bunch of the products to try! After our call, I thought more about all of the products I did not order but really wanted to try. Knowing my friends and the knowledge sharing we all do, I figured that I would have heard about Norwex if any of them had used their products. Since I wanted to order some other things and also spread the word with my friends I thought I would look into hosting a party myself so that I could get a bunch of the things I still wanted to try for free. I started my search for a consultant in the Chicago-land area and couldn’t find anything online. I finally just called Norwex directly to connect with a consultant who could host a party for me. They told me that the closest consultant to me was over 60 miles from downtown Chicago! It was at that moment that I thought to myself – I should become a Norwex consultant! I have been passionate about making my home as healthy as it can possibly be for my family. The more I thought about it, the more excited I became at the idea of educating others on the many toxins that can be found in our homes – and now, an easy solution to detoxify and make our homes a healthier place to live.
I’m excited about this new Norwex journey that I’m starting in Chicago. I love it that I wasn’t even looking for a business opportunity, but found a product that I love and a cause that I am passionate about. I love it that I wasn’t even looking for Norwex. Norewex found me.
